ADOEPM is a permanent affiliate of the Women's World Banking Network. Through WWB ADOPEM has benefitted from exchanges with other WWB affiliates including trainings for personnel. In 1998 ADOPEM became a participating member of the WWB's Women and Microenterprise program. The objective of this program is to increase the participation of women in local economies while incorporating gender considerations. ADOPEM is also a member of the WWB initiative in enterprise innovation, network development and commercial links. One objective of these initiatives is to train a group of entrepreneurs in the textile industry who can work together to produce a high-quality product that can compete both in the local and international market, ADOPEM and WWB signed an accord of donation for the purchase of computer equipment such as the Palm 105 for the sum of US$2,879. The equipment is to be used in collaboration with WWB initiatives and to improve ADOPEM operations as it transforms from a NGO to a regulated bank. In February of 1999 ADOPEM and Stchting signed a captial accord to promote WWB for a total of US$500,000 as part of the program of CGAP (Consultative Group to Assist the Poor, of the World Bank) with the objective of funding loans and contributing to the financial self-sufficiency of ADOPEM.
INTER-AMERICAN DEVELOPMENT BANK 
At the invitation of the IDB, ADOPEM delegates attended the second Inter-American Forum on Microenterprise in Argentina. Por invitación del BID, delegadas de la iniciativa compartimos en el II foro Interamericano Sobre Microempresa, celebrado en Argentina donde constatamos que compartimos los mismos denominadores que afectan los intereses del sector de la microempresa. La participación en estos eventos nos motivó para organizarnos en la Asociación Nacional de Mujeres de la Microempresa, (ANAMUMPE) con el siguiente propósito:
"Garantizar la participación directa de la mujer propietaria de la micro y pequeña empresa, en actividades gremiales que promuevan su participación en los medios sociales, políticos y económicos."
On April 2, 1992 an agreement of technical cooperation ATN/SF3941-DR was signed between the Inter-American Development Bank and ADOPEM for a total of US$15,000, to support the creation of promotional material, management training for low-income micro-entrepreneurs. On March 13, 1991 an accord of donation No. ATN/3482-DR was signed by the IDB to support ADOPEM in conducting small training and credit programs for female entrepreneurs. The project concluded in 1995. In July of 2000, ADOPEM signed an agreement with IDB for US$ 625,000.00 with an additional US$ de 325,000.00 plus US$ 300,000.00 from ADOPEM to support the transformation of ADOPEM into a regulated institution. Financial convenant SP/SF-92-02 DR and technical cooperation, signed on April 2, 1992 between IDB and ADOPEM for a sum of RD$7,687,500, of which US$500,000, the equivalent of RD$6,273,360, is repayable. The loan has a duration of 40 years to be repaid in equal and consecutive installments every semester, with a grace period of ten and a half years. In 2002 the loan start to be amortized. As of the end of 2002, the loan had a balance of RD$6,168,804.00. EUROPEAN UNION 
Between the years of 1998 and 2000, different accords of donation were made by the Program for Private Sector Support of the European Union to support the institutional development of ADOPEM through training for ADOPEM staff, particularly credit officers. Various manuales were created and a study about the transformation of ADOPEM was conducted. Amongst these accords, a "best practice" program was created whose principal objective was to develop a training program around best practices and other techniques for female entrepreneurs of small and medium enterprises to encourage growth, competitiveness, and profitability through practical learning, training and technical assistance. GTZ 
In February of 1996 an accord of donation between Dentsche Gesellschaft fur Techrische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH Eschbom and ADOPEM was signed for the execution of aninstitutional development program for ADOPEM. During 1998, ADOPEM received economic support from GTZ to support relieft efforts for the effects of Hurricane George. LIFE AND HOPE FOUNDATION In June of 2002 the Acuerdo firmado en fecha 14 de Junio del 2002 entre la Fundación Vida y Esperanza y ADOPEM para la administración de un fondo de Micro Crédito a mujeres de escasos recursos económicos que cumplan con los requisitos exigidos por ADOPEM. OIKOCREDIT 
A loan from Oikocredit was received in December of 2001. Oikocredit is a recognized ecumenical development cooperatative society in Holland. LA-CIF 
Loan received in October of 2002 from LA-CIF, a organization from Panamá. CORDAID 
The Catholic Organization for Relief and Development (CORDAID) approved a loan for ADOPEM for the sum of NLG 612,500 Dutch Guiders, the equivalent of US$246,975.82 or RD$4,504,978.44, at an interest rate of 8% plus inflation as determined by the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic. DEXIA 
In December of 2000, ADOPEM signed an agreement of finance with Dexia for their credit program. The agreement was further amplified in June of 2002. TRIDO – DOEN 
In April of 2002, ADOPEM signed an agreement of finance with TRIODO DOEN for its credit program. The interest rate for the loan is calculated every semester taking into account the annual rate for financial certificates every 180 days as determined by the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic every 31 of January and 31 of July. The loan has a duration of 5 years and ends the first of May, 2005. INTER-AMERICAN FOUNDATION 
In July of 1991, ADOPEM signed an accord of donation with the Inter-American Foundation for the creation of rotating credit funds financed by IDB. Home |
